Installing appliances can be a timely and tricky process without the right knowhow and experience. Our electricians are able to correctly and safely install the following appliances in your home.
Wall ovens and standalone cookers require a lot of power and therefore require their own heavy duty circuit that needs to be professionally installed. Part of our service is the correct fitting of the oven into the cavity or floor space and ensuring all wiring is safely out of the way and complies with all current safety standards. We will also test the appliance to ensure it is working correctly.
We are happy to install your cooktop, but please ensure that it complies with all applicable laws and regulations. Please note: Australian Standards state there must be at least 50 mm clearance from the back edge of the cooktop to a non-combustible wall surface or splash back. There must also be at least 300 mm horizontal clearance from the outside edge of an electric element or gas burner to a combustible surface on the side of a cooktop. Combustible surfaces include adjoining cabinets faced with melamine or plastic laminate.
It's worth noting that while exhaust fans and rangehoods don't have a specific clearance requirement under the Building Code of Australia it is commonly accepted that at least 60cm clearance is required above the cooktop. But like all appliances, though, it is best practice that they are installed according to statutory requirements and that the installation meets the manufacturer’s specifications.
We will install additional power points or upgrade existing ones if required. Plumbing of water to and from dishwasher optional.
Installation of power point or upgrade of existing one. We can also mount your dryer following manufacturer's recommendations and Australian standards.
For most fridge spaces there are generally ample power points available in the required area. However if you have a fridge that doesn't fit the space provided then you may require an additional power point. We can also plumb the water to your fridge for your ice maker and water dispenser as part of our handyman services, completing the job for you in one go.
